Nominating Committee Selects Director Candidates

A nominating committee, comprised of Boone REMC customers, met on November 9, 2011, to select candidates for the 2012 director election. The committee nominated: District 4 – G. Tom Taylor; District 5 – Marcia Wilhoite; District 6 – Alan Cragun.

The District 4 Director represents customers in Jefferson Township and that portion of Jackson Township extending west of highway 75 in Boone County, Indiana, and all adjacent territory bordering on Boone County, Indiana, within said named township lines as extended.

The District 5 director represents customers in Center Township, located in Boone County, Indiana.

The District 6 director represents customers in Union Township and Worth Township, located in Boone County, Indiana, and all adjacent territory bordering on Boone County, Indiana, and within said named township lines as extended.

Nominating Committee members attending were: Don Rapp, Aaron Lucas, Richard Hendricks, John Riner, Kanene Summers, Greg Bigler, David Sullivan and Robert Wayman.

Directors serve three-year terms. The election will be held during the annual customer meeting on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in the Witham Pavilion at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Any eligible Boone REMC customer, not nominated by the nominating committee, who wishes to have his or her name listed as an additional candidate for a director position, can do so by completing a nomination petition.
