Wabash Valley Power Electric Heat Rebate

Wabash Valley Power, Boone REMC's wholesale power supplier, is offering a rebate to help Boone REMC customers upgrade to more efficient electric heating systems.


Eligibility

Boone REMC customers with electric forced air furnace systems, electric baseboard, electric ceiling cable, older less-efficient air source or ground source heat pumps with electric back-up who replace them with an electric back-up air source heat pump or geothermal heat pump that meets minimum efficiency criteria.

> New home construction is not eligible for this rebate.

> A customer switching from gas, propane, wood, or some other form of heating fuel that is not electricity, are not eligible for this rebate. Dual fuel heat pumps are not eligible.

Specifics

Customers can pair this rebate with any existing state and federal rebates or tax credits.

The rebate amounts are $150 per ton for geothermal heat pumps and $125 per ton for air source heat pumps, up to 10 tons total (residential applications only).

> A heat loss/heat gain calculation will be required (obtain from HVAC contractor).

> AHRI certification sheet will be required (obtain from HVAC contractor).
