Wabash Valley Power Energy Star Clothes Washer Rebate Program

Wabash Valley Power (WVPA), Boone REMC's wholesale power supplier, is offering a $50 rebate for customers purchasing Energy Star clothes washers before the end of the year.


Eligibility

• Boone REMC residential customers with an electric water heater.

• One rebate per customer per address (limit of two). For example, if a customer has two accounts at different service locations, they are eligible for a rebate for each location.

• Qualifying units are defined on this Energy Star website:

Q: If someone buys an ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washer on 12/31/2011 are they still eligible for the $50 rebate?

A: Yes, all purchases from now through 11:59:59 p.m. on 12/31/2011 are eligible for the $50 rebate if the customer has an electric water heater in their home.

Q: If someone buys an ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washer on or before 12/31/2011 but does not have it installed until January, 2012 are they still eligible for the $50 rebate?

A: Yes, all purchases from now through 11:59:59 p.m. on 12/31/2011 are eligible for the $50 rebate if the member has an electric water heater in their home.

Q: How long does a member have to turn in an ENERGY STAR Clothes Washer rebate application to their local electric cooperative?

A: All applications for the ENERGY STAR Clothes Washer rebate applications must be postmarked to their local REMC no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

Q: How long does Boone REMC have to get the rebate applications turned in to WVPA?

A: All ENERGY STAR Clothes Washer rebate applications must be postmarked no later than 11:59:59 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2011.
