Boone REMC Annual Meeting March 10
If your electric bill comes from Boone REMC, you are a member of your local electric utility cooperative.
Each year Boone REMC holds an annual meeting. At the annual meeting, a director election is held, and we present information about our operations and activities. The annual meeting also provides a forum for customer questions and feedback.
The 2012 Boone REMC Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 10, in the Witham Pavilion at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds in Lebanon.
Doors open for registration and refreshments at 8:45 a.m. The business meeting starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 12 noon.

Door prizes will include a Grand Prize drawing for $500 cash, plus two $250 cash prizes, five $100 cash prizes and ten $50 cash drawings! You must be present to win all prizes.
Watch your mail for your official registration postcard. A registration postcard is mailed to all Boone REMC customers. Please bring your registration postcard to the meeting.
If you do not receive a registration postcard, or if you misplace your postcard ... please join us at the annual meeting. We can collect your registration information on site.
Board seats for districts 4, 5 and 6 are up for election this year. Click here for a Board of Directors district map.
Directors serve three-year terms. You must be registered and present to vote.
The 2012 director candidates are:
District 4: G. Tom Taylor
District 5: Marcia C. Wilhoite
District 6: Alan D. Cragun
These candidates were selected by a nominating committee comprised of Boone REMC customers. Any eligible customer, not nominated by the nominating committee, can become a director candidate by completing and filing a candidate petition at least thirty days before the annual meeting. The deadline for filing a candidate petition is February 9, 2012.
Director Candidate Biographies
> District 4 - G.Tom Taylor
G. Tom Taylor is a grain farmer who also owns and manages West Central Indiana Contractors. He resides in Jefferson Township.
Taylor has served on the Boone REMC Board of Directors since 1994. He has earned Certified Cooperative Director credentials from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
Taylor also serves as Boone REMC's representative, and second-vice chairman, on the Wabash Valley Power Association Board of Directors.
Tom is a member of the Dover Christian Church. He is a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and a member of the Custom Harvesters Association. Tom and wife Janice have two sons, two daughters and three grandchildren.
> District 5 - Marcia C. Wilhoite
Marcia C. Wilhoite is a Certified Public
Accountant who owns and manages her own accounting firm. She has served on the Boone REMC Board of Directors since 1997. Wilhoite resides in Center Township.
Wilhoite holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.
The Wilhoite family owns and manages a hog operation and grain farm. Wilhoite is a member of the Boone County Council, Boone County Solid Waste District Board and the Boone County Redevelopment Commission.
Wilhoite is a member of Centenary Methodist Church, Indiana Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Marcia and husband Alan have two sons, two daughters and four gradchildren.
> District 6 - Alan D. Cragun
Alan D. Cragun is a self-employed grain farmer residing in Worth Township.
He has served on the Boone REMC Board of Directors since 2006. Cragun holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science from Purdue University. Cragun is a Certified Cooperative Director who also holds a Board Leadership Certification from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
Cragun is a Gideon and is a member of New Hope Christian Church. Cragun also serves on the Boone County Fair Advisory Council. Alan has one son and one daughter.
Director District Descriptions for Districts 4, 5, 6
The District 4 Director represents customers in Jefferson Township and that portion of Jackson Township extending west of highway 75 in Boone County, Indiana, and all adjacent territory bordering on Boone County, Indiana, within said named township lines as extended.
The District 5 director represents customers in Center Township, located in Boone County, Indiana.
The District 6 director represents customers in Union Township and Worth Township, located in Boone County, Indiana, and all adjacent territory bordering on Boone County, Indiana, and within said named township lines as extended.
