Cole Thompson, a member of local Boy Scout Troop 350, received a $1,000 grant to help fund his Eagle Scout project. Thompson’s project involved making extensive restorations and repairs at a cemetery known as the “Mechanicsburg Cemetery.” There are 200 people buried at the site, including 10 Civil War veterans and one Spanish-American War veteran.
