Boone REMC's Energy Advisor services can help you reduce energy use and get the most from your energy dollar.
We offer several online tools and we have technicians on staff that can help you with questions like:
How can I make my home more energy efficient?
What home repairs or improvements will deliver the most energy savings?
What options and features should I consider when shopping for new appliances or heating and cooling equipment?
> Energy Audits
Boone REMC offers free energy audits that can help you analyze your energy use and conserve energy.
Our Energy Advisors will help you identify common problems that increase energy use and collect information about your home for input into our Energy Calculator software.
After the audit, you will receive a detailed report about your energy use.
> Efficiency Inspections
Boone REMC also offers extensive Efficiency Inspections for a $100 fee. This service is only available December through February, weather permitting.
Our technicians will:
• Inspect your attic, basement or crawl space to check insulation levels and look for ductwork issues and building envelope problems that can increase energy bills.
• Take infrared photos and standard digital photos of any problems found.
• Create a detailed report that can help you improve comfort and reduce energy use.
This service is only available December through February, weather permitting.
