Smart Grid Technology on the Way
Boone REMC is currently installing new, “smart grid” metering equipment throughout our service area.
When this project is complete, all electric meters will be replaced with new meters that have two-way communication capabilities.
Please make sure that we have access to your meter. Common obstacles include shrubbery, fencing, locked gates and pets.

Wabash Valley Power Association increases rates
Boone REMC's power provider, Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA), has increased its rates for wholesale power. Click here for the WVPA press release.
This increase in wholesale power costs will be reflected on electric bills produced after September 1.

Boone REMC's Operation Round-Up program is a voluntary, community service program that rounds up electric bills to the next whole dollar amount. The collected funds are placed in an independent, charitable trust and disbursed through a grant process. |
