Boone REMC is happy to support young people in their pursuit of higher education. We are pleased to offer the following scholarship opportunities.

 

Boone REMC Annual Meeting Scholarships: Each year, Boone REMC awards five $500 post-secondary scholarships to students who are dependents or legal wards of Boone REMC members. The scholarships will be awarded during a random drawing at the Boone REMC Annual Meeting, held in March. Applicants need to fill out a form and complete a short quiz on the history of Boone REMC. Students have three options for completing the application: 1.) Email to Mandy Saucerman (msaucerman@bremc.com) by Feb. 24, 2017; 2.)Present the forms when registering at the annual meeting on Saturday, March 4, 2017, before 10 a.m., at Lebanon High School; or 3.) Complete the application in person at the annual meeting between 8:15 and 10 a.m. Click here for more details and to download an application.

 

Boone REMC Operation Round Up Scholarships: A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior from each of the following schools: Lebanon High School, Sheridan High School, Trader’s Point Christian Academy, Western Boone Jr./Sr. High School and Zionsville High School. Applicants must live within the appropriate school district in Boone County and within the Boone REMC service territory. Students must submit a high school transcript, two reference letters (one from a teacher or employer), the name and address of the post-secondary institution they plan to attend, and a one page type-written essay answering “What are my future goals using my degree?” Other eligibility requirements and application deadlines are determined by each school.
