What’s On My Bill?
Below are definitions for items on your electric bill.

Wholesale Energy: The charge for energy purchased from Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA), our wholesale power provider. This charge is calculated by multiplying the kWh (kilowatt-hours) used during your billing cycle by the rate listed on your bill.
Boone REMC Distribution Charges Section: This section lists the charges for delivering electricity to your location.
Customer Charge: The monthly charge associated with the costs for the equipment and assets used to provide service to the customer location. This fee is charged even if the meter registers no electricity use.
Energy Delivery Charge: The charge for delivering energy to your location. This charge is calculated by multiplying the kWh (kilowatt-hours) used during your billing cycle by the rate listed on your bill.
Operation Round Up: Operation Round Up is a voluntary, community service program that rounds up your monthly billing amount to the next whole dollar. Please let us know if you do not want to participate.
If you are enrolled in this program, you will see a line item on your bill stating your “Operation Round Up amount.” This is your contribution for the billing cycle. Your year-to-date contributions to this program are noted near the top of your bill as “Your YTD Operation Round Up Contribution.”
