Budget Billing
With Boone REMC’s budget billing program, members are better able to plan their monthly energy payments. This program is available to members who receive service under the General Service Single Phase rate (a category that includes all residential services).
Under the budget billing program, your monthly statement will display the budget amount due, as well as the previous balance forward showing any debits or credits.
Budget billing takes into account the most current 12-months of consumption on a rolling calendar. The amount readjusts monthly and will not be one set amount but a less drastic transition month to month on cost.
Qualifications
- Members must have 12 months of consecutive consumption history with Boone REMC.
- The account must have a $0 balance.
- The account must maintain an on-time payment status.
Enrollment Standards
Members who are enrolled in this program are subject to the same payment due dates as regular accounts and must pay the full budget amount each month. If necessary, late payment fees will be assessed on the budget amount.
Should you fail to follow the budget billing guidelines, Boone REMC reserves the right to remove you from the program. Under these circumstances, all outstanding amounts will be due under regular payment terms.
You must have 12 months of payment history in order to be eligible for the program.
