Efficiency Inspections

Boone REMC also offers extensive efficiency inspections, December-February (weather-permitting) for a fee. Our technician will inspect the interior and exterior, attic, and basement or crawl space to check insulation levels and look for ductwork issues and building envelope problems that can increase energy bills. Load Control Switches

A load control switch cycles your electric water heater off when electricity is in high demand. Using less electricity when demand is very high (when temperatures are extremely low in winter and extremely high in summer) helps keep electric rates from rising. LEARN MORE…

Sense Monitors

Safety Demonstrations

Our energy advisors also provide demonstrations on electrical safety and the science behind electricity for classes or other student groups upon request. Classes also are invited to come to the co-op for a tour and to learn about electricity, safety, and co-op careers. 4-H Electric Workshops

Our advisors work with local 4-H’ers by hosting workshops each year to help 4-H Electric participants learn fundamentals of electricity in order to complete their projects. Learn more about the 4-H Electric program through the Boone County Extension Office.
