Co-Op Owners for Political Action

As a member of Boone REMC, you’re among 42 million Americans who can claim ownership of a not-for-profit consumer-controlled utility that provides electricity at cost. The Action Committee for Rural Electrification (ACRE®) Co-op Owners for Political Action® program is an exciting opportunity for you to raise your voice and participate in the political process.

ACRE is the political action committee of the nation’s electric cooperatives. Join the ACRE Co-op Owners for Political Action to support elected officials who:

  • Help Boone REMC keep your electric service reliable.
  • Keep your electricity bill affordable because it improves your quality of life.
  • Assist your efforts to use electricity more efficiently.
  • Make renewable energy affordable.
  • Help us rebuild after a storm.
  • Protect our economy and jobs when making energy laws.

Founded in 1966, ACRE supports candidates for the U.S. House and Senate who will speak for and protect the interests of electric cooperatives and their members. You can strengthen this support and join over 30,000 ACRE members who form a strong grassroots network dedicated to the long-term success of the electric cooperative program.
